This story begins in November of 2005 and if you don't have a strong heart or stomach, stop reading now. If you do, please help!!!

Over 100 dogs were rescued from a Blainsville, Canada home that was later demolished due to such extreme deplorable conditions and these were the conditions these dogs were living in. And yes, the picture below are of dogs, as hard as it is to believe.
All 101 Fox Terriers' coats were very long, full of knots and fully covered in excrement. These little dogs resembled something straight out of a horror film. There were corpses of deceased dogs in different stages of decomposition within a sea of filth, as the living dogs ate their remains. Journalists from different media outlets, who were dispatched to cover this story, were stunned by the abominable conditions they witnessed.

Overwhelmed by what they beheld, some journalist began vomiting! Everywhere, dogs were stacked atop of each other in cramped cages. In certain cases, dogs were unable to lift their heads because they were jammed between the raised floor, resulting from the accumulation of excrement and the top of the cage. Some of the dogs were carrying three times their weight from all the excrement collected in their hair.

Many of the dogs had to be immediately euthanized they were in such horrific condition. Since then, all but 18 of the remaining dogs have been adopted and found loving homes and are learning how to be dogs. There are 18 that are in foster, these dogs are learning to be real dogs too- some of these dogs lost their eyes because they had never seen daylight and now they are learning to be part of families- learning to eat, learning to be touched and learning how to be loved. Now they may be taken from these wonderful new homes and placed back in the house of horrors they were rescued from. Imagine making these dogs go back- imagine being one of the families who have had to rehabilitate a dog only to have it taken from you to be put back to horror.

Their convicted abuser, Marc Andre LaPorte, will be sentenced on February 22 and all he faces is $4000 in fines and a few days in jail. At the sentencing he will be requesting these dogs to be returned to him!!! THIS CANNOT HAPPEN!!!

Please, watch the video then sigh the PETITION!!! We must send a message and send it quickly! Time is short. Will you actually be able to sleep at nite knowing these poor dogs are being returned to this monster, back to a life of hell??
PLEASE SIGN THE PETITION - No Dogs for LaPorte!!

Another Batch Of Puppies Already

Bookmark and Share

Another batch of puppies are on the way. The backyard breeder I talk about here is having another batch and the puppies from the last batch are only months old. This will not stop. No one believes she is doing any wrong. With the new puppies on the way, she is looking for owners to take the puppies. She is out of work and needs the money.

Is this the reason to put this poor mother dog through all these births? The puppies are bull-legged and some have respiratory problems. The puppies are sold to any one that has the money. I know what has happened to one, I rescued him from filth, one was bought at four weeks old, I saw one in the paper, and she looked very healthy and happy. Where all the other puppies are is not known.

This is the worst form of animal abuse. This poor female is nothing but a moneymaker. Her 11-year-old Maltese can no longer make money so she just hangs around the house. The male Pekingese is happy impregnating the female Shiz-Tzu. These puppies are making her $350 a puppy. The litter is usually six puppies. Is this healthy for the mother? NO. It is not right, but no one can stop her.

Breeding Dogs Without Regard To Health

Bookmark and Share

Backyard breeders are popping up everywhere, but when it happens in your neighborhood, you might not know anything about it until it is too late. What do you do about a backyard puppy mill that continues to breed a male and a female even though the male is deformed he is bowlegged. The female is bred every time she is in heat. The female is suffering and the owner is raking in the cash because no one knows about the puppy mill aspect of this owner.

Some of the litters have had puppies with asthmas and puppies with bowlegs, but she continues to breed. This is because people are paying the money for the puppies, which is outrageous to begin with and they never know how many litters were already produced or what the health of the puppies were. This is not only sad, but it should be a crime. Yes, these puppies find homes, but at what expense. Do the new owners keep them or are they passed off when new owners find out there are health issues they were unaware of at the time.

The newest form of cruelty is telling perspective owners to come and pick up the puppies at two and a half weeks old because the vet said it was okay if they are weaned. The person had lost their job and needed money. The people were instructed to come get the puppies now and pay for them. These people are paying over $300 for a Shih-Tzu/Pekingese with no health checks even though they think the puppies are check they are not.

It is doubtful that these puppies even have healthy parent, since the parent may not even have current vaccinations. The inside condition of the house is deplorable. There is dog feces and pee everywhere. Not only are the dogs living in this, but humans as well. The neighbors probably have no idea what is going on inside the house as well as the property owner.

Why is it that people take another life with such little regard? Is money really worth what expense it will cause the female and the puppies? For some people I guest life has no value, but for me, any breathing creature has a right to live a happy and healthy life. Is something going to be done about this proclaimed backyard breeder? Yes, something will be done to cease this practice, it might not be against the law, but it against humane treatment.

Understanding The Pekinese Dog Breeds

Bookmark and Share

Pekinese are beautiful little dogs. They do not much exercise since they normally do not become overweight. If you do take your Pekinese for a walk, it should be a short walk as they tire easily because of their short legs. Although they love to socialize, they prefer to walk a short distance and then spent their time with the human companions.

Pekinese are prone to ear infections, this because they have ears that cover the entire ear. This causes bacteria to become moist and multiply in the ear. No air gets inside the ear. A vet can prescribe medication to take care of the infection. They are little fur balls weighting about 15 to 20 pounds and have a flatten nose, which results in many having respiratory problems as well as ear infections.

Pekinese need to be brushed daily or their hair will twist and become matted. Their teeth need cleaning and for the most part a good dog bone specially made to remove plaque works better than trying to brush their teeth.

Pekinese are loving and compatible dogs. They get along with other dogs and cats as well as children.

Pet Insurance For Your Beloved Four Legged Friend

Bookmark and Share

Our pets are our children in many ways. We nurture them, teach them and show them love. When vet bills start to add up, we look for ways to come up with the money we need to have check ups or any other veterinarian bills that may arise. We have insurance to protect us from medical problems and now we have insurance for out dogs. It is up to us to care for them and this includes insurance to make sure they receive proper medical treatment.

The pet insurance covers medical bills, theft or death and in most cases, some form of payment for loss of life due to accidental reasons. If you have more than one dogs or other pet, you may find an insurance company that has multiple pet discounts. This is something that all pet owners should check into. Vet bills are not that high, but it is nice to have some form of insurance to help with the expenses.

Petition To Shut Down Puppy Mill In Sheboygan County

Bookmark and Share

If you have ever been to the Sheboygan County Fair, there is a organization with a petition to sign regarding eliminating puppy mills in Wisconsin. This includes the puppy mill owned by Gerald Schulz. If they can keep receiving enough signatures, they may finally be on the road to success. It has been a long road to trying to shut him down. He seems to think his operation is healthy and not a puppy mill. He has openly said this on national television.

Click the link title to see all the information that was put together about Pretty Penny puppy farm. You will be in total dismay as to how the state can allow this person to keep running such a disgusting place. The interview on televison is found on the site as well as al the other information regarding the poor dogs he has kenneled for breeding with no human love.
